The greatest illusion of this world is the illusion of separation. Things you think are separate and different are actually one and the same.We are all one people, but we live as if divided. Each and every living being(humans, plants, animals, insects etc) in this universe has the spark(soul) of that Divinity inside them. But very few are aware of it.

So let us find who we really are?: Anything which we call 'real' must satisfy two conditions:The real has to be both changeless and eternal. These two criteria are often used when we judge reality in our day to day life.

Who am I ? - am I this body?

Who am I?
The face I see every day in the mirror?
The heart beats within my heart?
Or the thoughts that vacillating in my brain while I am reading all about this ?
Am I the body that I have inherited from my parents?
Or am I the mind by means of which I am busy making my daily plans and resolve life issues?

The human body is made of  four perishable elements viz; air, water, earth, fire and therefore are impermanent in nature. Also, your thoughts are just visitors and are nothing but the reflection of what your mind is perceiving through five sense organs. All of these are temporary nothing is permanent.

I am not my body, not my feelings, not my emotions nor my mind.
You are the spark of that supreme consciousness called soul inside your body.

The Bhagavat Gita says:

"Arjuna! Ishwara resides in the heart of the all creatures(known as soul-a part of that supreme soul), causing them to revolve according to their karma by His illusive power."

The human body is made of  4 fundamental perishable elements and therefore impermanent in nature, but the powers that dwell within us are imperishable; are eternal.

Understanding soul

Soul simply means one's true Self. It is also called as 'Atma' in a Sanskrit. This is the root of everything or fundamental entity of anything or any being that is eternal, inevitable and so on.

For living beings like us, Atma means the soul about which Shri Krishna explains in the Gita using the following verses:

  • For the soul, there is neither birth nor death at any time. He has not come into being, does not come into being, and will not come into being. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain. [BG - 2.20]
  • The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind. [BG - 2.23]
  • But at can even mean Brahman or God also as He is the soul of everything. So when it is said only the atma was there, in the beginning, atma there means God:- Atma alone was there in the beginning.
What is Incarnated Soul(Jivatma)?

Soul-Atma which is quality-less and attribute-less when gets combined with prakruti(nature), forms different kinds of senses (both subtle and gross) and gets different material natures. This combination of atma and qualities arising from prakruti is called as jivatma(incarnated soul).

||apareyam itas tv anyāṁ prakṛtiṁ viddhi me parām
jīva-bhūtāṁ mahā-bāho yayedaṁ dhāryate jagat||
(Bhagvat-Gita-10.5)

Meaning
Besides these (insentient matter), O mighty-armed Arjuna, there is another, superior energy of Mine, which comprises the living entities who are exploiting the resources of this material, inferior nature.

It is the jivatma which resides in the physical body and in many other subtle bodies after casting off of the gross one. Jivatma or the jivas are sentient and eternal energy fragments of God:

||mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ
manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛti-sthāni karṣati ||
(Bhagvat-Gita-7.5)

Meaning
The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.

Supreme Soul(Paramatma)

Paramatma means supreme soul. If the self of the body is the soul, then Parmatma is the self of the soul. That is, the soul of the soul is the supreme soul:

ānandaṁ paramātmānam ātma-sthaṁ
[SB - 11.26.1]

- Paramatma is the reservoir of all pleasure situated within the soul of every living being.
God basically has three forms or modes. Brahman, Paramatma, and Bhagavan:

vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvaṁ yaj jñānam advayam
brahmeti paramātmeti bhagavān iti śabdyate
[SB - 1.2.11]

Meaning
Learned transcendentalists who know the Absolute Truth call this nondual substance Brahman, Paramātmā or Bhagavān.

Among these three, in Brahman no attribute, no activity, no power is exhibited. Parmatma exhibits only a few more powers and dwells in the heart or soul of every being. But in Bhagavan all power, all Lila(pastimes) and all attributes are exhibited.

And the major difference between Jivatma and Paramatma is that Jivatma is mayadhin, that is, he is under the influence of maya. But Paramatma is mayadhis, that is, He is the Lord of maya. And both over the atma or jivatma and maya rule one Lord who is known as God, Bhagavan, parmatma, etc.

kṣaraṃ pradhānamamṛtākṣaraṃ haraḥ kṣarātmānāvīśate deva ekaḥ
[Sve. Up - 1.10]

- The matter is perishable, immortal and imperishable is the soul. Both over the perishable and the soul rules one God.

The difference between individual soul and Supreme soul-

There are no two separate entities called soul and supreme soul. There was the only soul. There is only one and there will be one till the end.

Everything in this universe has the supreme soul. We can’t even say, ‘everything has the supreme soul, because when we use the word same, it means there are copies of the supreme soul in all of us.

No,it is not like that. There is just supreme soul and nothing else. Everything in this universe has the supreme soul. Our mind draws boundaries. It is like creating borders between two countries. So many countries fight over boundaries. One country fights with the other to acquire more land. They are drawing and erasing boundaries all the time.

We think we can draw boundaries between the Self, which is present in us, and the supreme Self. We try to put our soul in a tight container made of greed and fear.We close the lid and are afraid to open it. Actually, we fear to lose our identity. We associate ourselves with our individual ego. We want to show others how different we are.

Our mind knows that if it opens the lid, the soul, and the supreme soul will become one. Our mind knows that the soul in this body and the supreme soul are one and the same; there is no difference between the two. So our mind fears that if it opens the lid, our whole identity will be lost and we will be lost and we will become the same as everyone else. Our mind does not want this to happen.

Sowe continuously holds onto our individual ego. Only when we realize that we are all connected, that everything in this universe is the same universal consciousness, will break open the container and merge with the supremeSoul.

Here Krishna ends by saying,

‘If we can witness as pure consciousness, we will be liberated from the bondages of the body-mind and achieve the eternal consciousness.’

Please know that becoming the witness of the Kshetra is the only way to keep us away from the bondages of the boy-mind. We must witness as the kshetra NYA,consciousness. When we do that we will see the separation of the Self from the body and mind.

Understand that all our movements, reactions and emotions are related to the body-mind system. The way we move our body is a reaction by our body-mind system. Our emotions like anger, laughter, sadness and happiness are a reaction of our mind. All of them are movements created by our body-mind system.

When we witness these movements happening in our system, we separate ourselves from the body-mind system. When we watch then like clouds in the sky, when we watch them like a movie on a screen, without getting attached, we see the truth.

Even the thought of witnessing our thoughts and our emotions is a thought that is controlled by our mind. Even that is our thought and implies that mind is still acting, only when we go beyond that thought, do we experience the eternal consciousness.

The only difference is that after liberation:
After getting freed from this bodily contamination, the spirit soul mixes with the Supreme Soul, all-pervading, without any individual existence.

Life Advice from 50 Beloved Characters in Kid
Acid level of your stomach is a key factor in determining your body's overall health condition. You know that our stomach uses acids(mainly HCL in the liver) for processing the consumed food.

Generally, the stomach acid level is normal after eating big meals, but on an empty stomach, it's quite higher generally in the morning. If you consume highly acidic foods (mainly sugar)at that time it may result in high acid levels. So body expel this excessive acid through urine by using valuable nutrients such as calcium, sodium, many electrolytes etc.

One may think it's a healthy choice to eat a banana or drink a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. But, they may be those foods that shouldn’t be eaten on an empty stomach.

1) SOFT DRINKS AND SODA:

Normally a teaspoon of sugar contains 4 grams of sugar. Suppose if you drink a soda/soft drink on an empty stomach ,a can of soda contains 8 to 10 spoons of sugar. Soda is also high in carbonated acids.

This means you are taking approx. six to nine times as much sugar into your blood that normally exist at any time.

A 2005 study at the University of Texas Science Center in San Antonio showed that people who drink diet soda gain weight- lots of it.

In fact, the research found there was a 41 percent increase in the risk of being overweight for every can or bottle of diet soft drink a person consumes each day!

2) SPICY & JUNK FOODS:

An empty stomach also makes you more likely to start your meal with the wrong foods, even when you have a variety of choices. I think you will choose junk food for sure.

source-pixabay.com

Junk food contains 4 times more acid than any normal food.It disturbs the natural acid present in the stomach causing the acidic reaction in the stomach lining. The most common symptoms of such reaction are burning sensation, acidity, and vomiting.

3) COFFEE:

Who among us doesn’t love their first-morning cup of coffee?
Smelling the fresh brewed beans, sipping that flavorful, warm cup or one of the most antioxidant-full and stimulating beverages around is just so wholesome – or is it?

It turns out drinking coffee on an empty stomach may not be so great for you after all; here is why:

When you drink a coffee on an empty stomach early in the morning,it triggers the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the liver.

It causes a dump of cortisol ( known as the stress hormone) right into our blood stream. This stress hormone may cause you to crave more sugar, think with less clarity, disturb sleep cycles, irregular bowel syndrome(IBS).

4) BANANA:

Eating banana on empty is not bad but, if you exceed 3 or 4 it may create serious health problems.

people who eat bananas on an empty belly emit more gastric acid than other foods and eventually get something that is called gastric ulcer.

People who have gastric ulcer will usually get heartburn and nauseous. On top of that, a normal healthy person will not feel or get anything unusual after consuming bananas on an empty belly.

Bananas are rich in Magnesium ,so excessive intake of magnesium will affect the health of the heart, tendency to get Achlorhydria due to low gastric acids and causes diarrhea etc.

5) ALCOHOL:

Everyone has heard that drinking alcohol on an empty stomach is a bad thing, but few people understand why.

An empty stomach absorbs and processes alcohol faster, it also means you're more likely to become sick, get a hangover, or even suffer alcohol poisoning on a smaller amount of alcohol.

 6) MEDICINE:

Medications can be harsh on an empty stomach depending on the medication and its strength. Many medications may irritate the stomach lining and can result in nausea. Nausea may be present with or without vomiting.

7) CITRUS FRUITS (TOMATO):

Tomato is a kind of very nutritious vegetable. It contains a lot of vitamin C and Zinc. There is 20 to 40 mg of vitamin C contained in every 100 grams of tomato.

Do not eat a tomato with an empty stomach.Tomato contains a lot of soluble astringents, which will react with the gastric acid and clot into insoluble lumps. These lumps may block the pyloric of the stomach, leading to gastrectasia, nausea, and other discomforts.

8) TEA:

It doesn't matter what kind of tea you drink, nor does drink tea hot or cold make a difference to your stomach in this case.

Tea contains natural substances called 'tannins' in huge amount, which contribute color and a slightly bitter flavor.

You shouldn't drink green tea on an empty stomach. The green tea tannins increase stomach acid. So, if you drink green tea before eating, it may give you a stomachache, a nauseous feeling, or cause constipation.

If you drink a moderate amount of black tea, tannins should not cause problems. In large quantities, they may upset your stomach or cause nausea and vomiting.

9) YOGHURT:

Due to the intense acidic nature of yoghurt, it makes the empty stomach more acidic and is thought to damage the stomach lining, like a stomach ulcer and acidity.

Drinking yoghurt with an empty stomach will decline its health effects. It is suggested to drink yoghurt two hours after dinner, or before going to bed.

"Yoghurt contains a large number of lactic acid bacteria, which refers to a large group of beneficial bacteria that have similar properties and all produce lactic acid as an end product of the fermentation process, but when we eat them with an empty stomach, lactic acid bacteria are easy to die in a large number while being in the stomach with higher acidity, thus losing part of the health effects."
      source:suhanijain.com

After we eat some food, the acidity of stomach decreases, so the lactic acid bacteria can play a better role.

10) SWEET POTATO:

Similar to tomatoes, sweet potatoes also contain tannin and pectin acid, which will stimulate the stomach wall to secrete more gastric acid, causing heartburn and another discomfort.

Don't eat French fries on an empty stomach.Deep frying French fries makes them very high in fat, and a high-fat diet increases your risk of becoming overweight.

Overall now you understand that you must keep the acid level of a stomach in balance.
If you want to eat all above mentioned food it's advisable to wait for one or two hours then eat them there will be no problem at all.

As you go about life you may find yourself in a certain rut or phase that you can’t quite get yourself out of. Perhaps it was a loved one that hurt you, financial issues, health problems, or whatever else you have been faced with, you no longer have to fret.

The cause of your each and every health problem that you are facing now is only one thing, its a 'stress'.If you are now loaded with too many desires and cravings, then release them immediately, because these desires are blocking a natural flow of cosmic energy in your body making you more weak mentally as well as physically.

What is stress.?

In simplest language it can be described as a "lack of mental and physical well-being caused by unpleasant situations or stimuli not under our control."

The stress that one experiences is nothing but the response of the body to outer environment and the mind to our inner fears.

A Savasana-Yogic technique to relieve physical stress...!

It's look like it is the easiest technique in the whole yoga-practise, you just have to follow only two steps given below. One method to relieve stress is to learn to relax your body. You have to relax yourself to release the tension in your organs.

Now we will see how to perform 'Corpse posture' , in Sanskrit is is called as a Savasana.

Lie on your back on the carpeted floor of your bed room.Don't use a pillow under your head. You may lie on your bed if the mattress is very firm and will not cause any curvature in your backbone while lying down.

As you recline on your yoga mat, place your feet spread slightly apart from each other to regulate your aura.Put your arms at your side with your palm facing up.Your fingers should be curled up naturally.

Savasana (Corpse posture)

Now breath rhythmically for five minutes. Then relax your whole body, thinking that all the joints of your body have become loose. Relax the joints of your feet first, then the knees, then the joints of your arms, and last of all the neck.

Lie in that relaxed position for at least fifteen minutes. If  you have succeeded, your body will lie limb on the floor. This technique is called Shavasana in Hatha-Yoga.It will often lull you into a restful sleep.

  • Let go of all your stressful or negative thoughts while you are performing this posture.Imagine that your mind emptying like you are pouring oil from jug.
  • Don't feel pressure to rush into relaxation.Gradually breath out and feel your body is floating like a light feather.
  • There is no time limit for this technique. Try to do it for 40-60 minutes for better results.
Benefits of Savasana:

1) It is the easiest posture in yoga and a simplest way to relieve your physical stress. It           releases a focal tension in your muscles and relax them.

2)This posture brings a deep, meditative state of rest, which help in the recovering of            tissues and cells, and in releasing stress in them. It also gives time for the yoga                    workout to sink in at a deeper level.

3)It helps to get rid of blood pressure, anxiety, depression and insomnia.

4)This is an insane way to ground the body and cool down your heavy mind,it                        also reduces the imbalance of the air element in the body.

5)Savasana is best for those who are not able to meditate properly.

Understanding stress...!
In simplest language it can be described as a "lack of mental and physical well-being caused by unpleasant situations or stimuli not under our control."

The mind reacts with jealously, envy, hatred, anger, anxiety, sadness, fear and panic. The mind and body are closely interlinked, and these emotions also adversely affect our physical health. If we cannot manage or prevent these emotions,we start experiencing great physical and mental stress.Unless relieved, such tension may eventually produce serious illness, even heart attacks or strokes.

The stress that one experiences is nothing but the response of the body to outer environment and the mind to our inner fears.

These inner fears may be on account of anything like an examination, a job or responsibility, the family, an encounter with a person or situation one dislikes or fears, etc.
A combination of common sense, rational thinking and yoga can rescue us.

How Desire causes stress....?

Many consider stress a malady typical of our modern, highly competitive world. The stress that one experiences is nothing but the response of the body to outer environment and the mind to our inner fears.Hinduism as well as Buddhism teaches that stressful emotions stem from our cherished desires or longings. When desires are obstructed, they become anger, jealousy, hatred, etc.

The following two verses of the Bhagavad Gita beautifully express this idea:

A person who thinks of sense objects develops attachments to them.
From desire springs anger. From anger follows delusion, and from delusion loss of memory.
From loss of memory comes the inability to discriminate between what is good and what is bad. From loss of discrimination the person perishes.

Attachment is attraction to anyone or anything with selfish motive.

Consider a young man who has become attracted to a beautiful girl. The more he thinks of her the stronger grows his attraction. This attraction is attachment.

This attachment generates a strong desire in him to possess the girl for enjoyment. He wants to marry her.But the decided to marry someone else.
Her rejection of him becomes an obstacle to the fulfilment of his cherished desire. This makes him extremely angry.

He becomes so overwhelmed with anger that his thinking gets utterly confused. He becomes deluded. This delusion causes loss of memory. He loses the ability to discriminate between right and wrong-what is proper and what is improper.Driven by a blind impulse he gets a gun and kills the man the girl wants to marry. For his crime he is arrested by the police and eventually put to a death.

In another example,a very good-looking girl goes to a party. There she meets a another girl much more beautiful than she. This makes her jealous because the other girl's presence stands in the way of the fulfilment of her desire to be the most beautiful girl at that party.

Hinduism teaches that negative stress-producing emotions like anger, hatred, envy, jealousy and fear are not essentially different from one another. One emotion easily becomes transformed into another. And all are caused by attachment and desire.

All of you have know that no thought is ever lost. All our past thoughts are remain stored in unconscious domain of our minds. They remain there as Samskars or impressions.

Do you know how you get trapped in depression....?

The more  you think about something, more it will make an impression on subconscious domain your mind. Then mind will start creating a belief pattern on the basis of intensities of those thoughts.

So, these thoughts get rooted in your mind and affect each and every cell. Then your body will start an insane emotional drama, emotions related to those rooted thoughts will start popping up and will set up your vibrations.

So, if you are feeling good then you will be having more loving thoughts in your mind and healthy mind-body relations. But the worst part is that the reverse is also true, if you feeling less loving and unsatisfied ,it will make a continuous loop of low vibrational patterns in your body resulting in a poor flow of cosmic energy in your body.

You can't blame your own thoughts for your own health, because its natural to have tons of thoughts vacillating in your mind. Finally its not a thought that affects, but what affects is how you respond to those thoughts. The more you play with those negative thoughts ,the more it will be difficult for you to erase them for subconscious domain.
What should we do to avoid these negative thoughts...?

" Relax no need to be critical. Whatever arises, whatever occurs, simply don't cling to it, but immediately let it go."

"There is no use of dwelling in the past or future because they don't exist."

In normal conditions of life, sleep itself provides a sufficient relaxation separately. But under the stressful conditions of modern life, the mind remains in a tensed state, and no amount of sleep is sufficient for unwinding it.If you go to sleep with a tensed mind, it is quite likely that you will wake up with the mind in the same tense condition.

Conscious breathing is the best known tool that is being used by thousands of people to get rid of anxiety and depression naturally.

Conscious breathing:

When you find yourself daydreaming, tell yourself each and every time that "there is nothing more important than breathing". Just breath and allow your mind to vacillate it will stop bothering you immediately. The more you pay attention to your breath , the more you will be aware of your true self. These simple relaxation can alleviate psychosomatic pain felt in the head or stomach or joints more effectively than pills and tablets.

  • There is perhaps nothing more than relaxing than the practise of regulated breath. It is not necessary to practise 'Pranayama'(know more about pranayama)which can lead to serious complications. What is needed is the practise of breathing in deeply (as deeply as possible) through the nostril and then slowly breathing out( without retaining breath). This kind of regulated breathing can be done at any time, even in your office while talking people.
  • Everyone has a specific region in his body which acts as a focal point for his mental tension. For some it may be heart region, for others it may be the pit of stomach or lumber region. For those who suffered more from anxiety and depression they should release tension in brain veins by listening to breath, slowly it will work for sure, it takes time.
Stress cannot be avoided in life
for the simple reason that nothing great can be achieved in life by leading a stress free, easy going life. Dont think about the output, work hard as possible as,its the only thing that we can and breath. The more you run with your selfish desires more you will get attached to it,will suffer you more.

“Breathe.
If you feel tensed, breathe. It will calm you and release the tensions.
If you are worried about something or caught up in something that already happened, breathe. It will bring you back to the present.
If you are moving too fast, breathe. It will remind you to slow down, and enjoy life more.
Breathe, and enjoy each moment of this life. They’re too fleeting and few to waste.”
